Written in 1945 and published in 1946, this article by Alfred Korzybski, a World War I veteran, begins with his recounting of his own experiences with what is now called Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and then presents a case study written by a World War II veteran recounting that man's own successful efforts to treat his PTSD using Korzybski's remarkably simple but powerful "extensional" self-help approach. Reprint released for public distribution by the Alfred Korzybski Literary Estate.
